ICC supports police crackdown at 'Street'

Some of the statements The Daily Princetonian attributed to me in Tuesday's article do not accurately reflect either my views or the views of the ICC on the police crackdown on code violations. My view, and the ICC's view, is that we fully support the police in their endeavor to end further code violations. Open containers are not only a potential weapon that may be used against Eating Club officers and safeguards but also create an eyesore when littered around the 'Street.' It is illegal to carry an open container of alcohol in Princeton, and the police are well within their rights to patrol the public spaces on Prospect Avenue. We hope that all students will cooperate fully with them. Cindy Drakeman '02 President, Tower Club ICC
