French Club Prospects

Work on the headquarters of the French Club, which is to be situated in the eastern wing of the Brokaw Memorial Building, is progressing rapidly, and it is announced that the room will be ready for the reception of furniture by March 1. The lockers with which the room was formerly fitted have been removed, and the walls, windows, flooring and ceiling are undergoing a thorough change. The walls, which have been sized, are to be tinted in Pompeian red and all the woodwork will be black. The furniture will be fitted in Flemish oak, and the moulding, tables, chairs, etc., will be put in place as soon as possible. At a meeting of the Executive Committee on Saturday, many of the remaining details such as floor covering, etc., were given attention, and it is hoped that the formal opening of the club may take place at an early date.
