Marquee Matchup

It has been two weeks since the women's golf team's blistering performance in the Dartmouth Invitational, but the Tigers hope that the momentum built in that stellar performance can be sustained for at least one more weekend.

Tomorrow, Princeton will begin the only home tournament on its schedule, when it hosts the Princeton Invitiational. The Tigers will have a difficult time topping their last act, however. In Hanover, N.H., Sept. 16-17, they fired a 612, easily blowing away the field and shattering the tournament record by nine strokes in the process.

This will be the first of two consecutive in-state tournaments for Princeton. On Oct. 6, the Tigers will travel north to Piscataway to take part in the Rutgers Invitational.

In that Dartmouth Invitational — which Princeton won by 21 strokes — the Tigers were led by senior Adrienne Gill, who led all players with a final two-round score of 148. Classmate Julia Allison also made a major contribution with a 151, which tied her for second place overall.
