Drinking ordinance would threaten personal liberties
All members of the Princeton community should be aware of the extreme danger to personal liberty posed by the proposed new ordinance that would grant police vast new powers to invade private premises without warrants. The article in the Sept. 13 edition of the 'Prince' understates the potential law's implications on civil liberties; it would effectively establish a police state in the Borough. Students should let local government officials know that they are concerned, and that they will register and vote in municipal elections.
