Infini-T

After wandering about for a few minutes along Witherspoon Street looking for the entrance to Infini-T, my friends and I came across a bright green sign guiding us to our destination. Upon entering the dimly lit cafe, I was alarmed to notice that I had starved myself all day in anticipation of a big meal, only to find a small selection of snack foods and an infinite number of fragrant teas. Nonetheless, we swallowed our strong desire to abandon this shop and head to Hoagie Haven and tentatively ordered some sandwiches, soup and tea.

The inside of Infini-T surprised me as well. Unlike a typical coffee shop, the interior was carefully designed with mismatched, comfortable maroon chairs and tables. The exotic scarves hanging from the ceiling and walls of spices made me believe a coffee shop could be an intimate and quiet environment rather than a busy and professional space.

The service was quick and lovely, and we had our food within minutes of finding a seat. The presentation of the dishes was impeccable: A selection of the flavors of tea was displayed on a table right beside the register for customers to smell, the matcha green tea was made right in front of where we sat, and the lightly browned sandwich was placed carefully on a leaf of basil.

After asking my friends their opinions of their respective dishes, I was given colorful feedback ranging from “Floral,” “Fragrant,” “Biscuit-y,” “Stop rushing me, Aoi” and “Shut up Aoi, it just tastes like tea.” Despite the assault of feedback, I was able to determine that the Hibiscus berry iced tea was an all-around favorite.

Infini-T provides an amazing opportunity for those of you still searching for a comfortable environment. It’s a great place for dates. It’s a great place for studying. It’s a great place for study-dates.
