In the weeks following the opening of the transfer portal, the Ivy League has seen star after star depart the conference, including Yale’s Danny Wolf, Harvard’s Malik Mack, and Brown’s Nana Owusu-Anane. But Princeton’s star players, sophomore guard Xaivian Lee and sophomore forward Caden Pierce, stayed firm inside the Orange Bubble — until Friday evening, when Lee did not enter the transfer portal, but rather jumped to declaring for the NBA draft.

After last week’s big win against Harvard, the No. 14 ranked Princeton Tigers (6–3 overall, 2–1 Ivy League) came into Saturday’s contest against the Dartmouth Big Green (3–6, 0–2) eager to get a winning streak underway. Led by an impressive defensive showing and four goals from junior standout attacker Coulter Mackesy, the Tigers cruised to a victory against Big Green, coming out on top 15–5.

Fresh off a Cinderella run to the Sweet 16 fueled by wins over powerhouses Arizona and Missouri, the men’s basketball team (24–3 overall, 12–2 Ivy League) hopes to secure back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances for the first time since 1998. With only three losses, a neutral site win against Rutgers, and a NET ranking of 48, Princeton has built an impressive resume — and the Ivy League has taken notice.

This past weekend, men’s track and field (1–1 Overall, 0–0 Ivy League) and women’s swim and dive (11–1 Overall, 7–0 Ivy League) traveled north to compete in the Ivy League championships for their respective sports. Both teams claimed their 25th Ivy League titles when the weekend ended. The dynasty continued for men’s track and field as they captured their ninth straight championship win.

In front of a sold-out crowd at Jadwin Gym, the Tigers (17–3 overall, 5–2 Ivy League) triumphed over the Penn Quakers (9–13, 1–6) after a late second half run. The Tigers had one of their best shooting performances of the year, connecting on 16 shots from beyond the arc and attempting their most three-point shots in any game since 2016.
