On a cold and rainy weekend in Cambridge, the Princeton softball team (16–11, 5–4 Ivy League) lost two out of three games against the Harvard Crimson (15–13, 6–6). The series was a rematch of last year’s Ivy League Tournament final, where the Crimson emerged victorious following a hard-fought two-game series. Harvard ended up earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, further heightening the emotion of the weekend.

Fresh off a big win against then Ivy League leading Yale (18–8 overall, 9–2 Ivy League), the Tigers men’s basketball team (21–3, 9–2) traveled north to play against Harvard (13–10, 4–6) and Dartmouth (5–19, 1–10) over the weekend. Coming away with two massive wins, the Tigers moved into a three-way tie with Yale and Cornell atop the Ivy standings with only three conference games to go.

In another packed night at Jadwin Gymnasium, Princeton men's basketball (18–3 overall, 6–2 Ivy League) faced off against the Brown Bears (6–17, 2–6). Coming off of a win against Penn last weekend (9–14, 1–7), the Tigers looked to continue their momentum on Friday night — setting the stage for their rematch against the Yale Bulldogs on Saturday.

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada this Sunday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Ahead of the most anticipated game of the NFL season, six members of The Daily Princetonian Sports staff offered their picks for who will emerge victorious in this rematch of Super Bowl LIV, which saw the Chiefs erase a 10 point deficit in the fourth quarter to overcome the 49ers 31–20.

It’s the start of a new season for Clockwork, Princeton’s men’s club ultimate frisbee team. Millions of kids play frisbee in physical education classes across the United States as a lighthearted way to get some exercise, but this is a whole other level to the familiar sport.

Princeton women’s soccer (9–4–3 overall, 4–2–1 Ivy League) honored their seniors at the final game of the regular season against the Columbia Lions (9–3–3, 3–2–2) on Saturday. It was a must-win game for their opponents, and, with a 1–0 defeat of the Tigers, the Lions secured the final Ivy League tournament spot in Providence, R.I.. Princeton had already punched their ticket to Providence with a 2–0 win against Dartmouth on Saturday, Oct. 21.

After a win versus Monmouth and a draw against rival Yale, men's soccer (3–4–1 overall, 0–1–1 Ivy League) faced one of their toughest matches of the season so far against No. 8 Georgetown (7–1–1, 3–0–0 Big East) on Tuesday. The team attempted to replicate what Princeton women’s soccer did versus Georgetown a few weeks ago, but this proved easier said than done. The Hoyas have been dominant this season, with their only loss coming against No. 6 Stanford. In spite of a strong first half from Princeton, Georgetown took the game handily.

Following back-to-back losses to No. 11 Duke (4–1–1 overall, 1–1 Atlantic Coast Conference) and No. 18 The University of New Hampshire (4–1–1, 0–0 American East), the men’s soccer team (2–2–0, 0–0 Ivy League) needed a rebound. They got it in the form of a thrilling 3–2 comeback victory over the St. John’s Red Storm (4–3–1, 0–1–0 Big East), led by sophomore forward Daniel Ittycheria’s two goals.
