It was a week of national attention and high praise for the No. 25 women’s basketball team (20–3 overall, 10–0 Ivy League), who are coming off of a 45-point thrashing of the Yale Bulldogs (6–17, 3–7) and their 15th consecutive win.

In a battle for first place in the Ivy League, women’s basketball (14–3 overall, 4–0 Ivy League) defeated the Columbia Lions (12-5 overall, 3-1 Ivy League) 80–65 on Saturday afternoon, snapping the Lions’ 10 game win streak in the process.

On Friday, Nov. 17, Princeton women’s basketball (2–1, 0–0 Ivy League) returned to California for the first time since 2012 to face off against No. 3 UCLA (4–0, 0–0 PAC-12). Trading leads throughout the game, the matchup did not disappoint, but the Tigers fell short of the upset, 77–74.

Despite a slow start to their first game of the 2023–2024 season, the women’s basketball team (1–0 overall, 0–0 Ivy League) walked away with a 65–57 win against the Duquesne Dukes (0–1, 0–0 Atlantic 10). The squad was led by sophomore guard, and reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year Madison St. Rose, who finished with a career-high 26 points.

Last Wednesday, Her Hoops Stats released the 2024 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Preseason Watch List — a prestigious list composed of only 25 basketball players from the mid-major schools in the country. The 2024 list includes senior captain and 2023 Ivy League Player of the Year Kaitlyn Chen.

On Friday, Sept. 22, women’s volleyball (5–5 overall, 2–0 Ivy League) traveled to open their Ivy League schedule with a win against Penn (2–10, 0–2). The next day, Princeton hosted Penn and once again emerged victorious. Continuing their winning streak of Ivy League openers, the Tigers have now won every Ivy opening game since 2015.

This past weekend, men’s volleyball (12–11, 6–3 EIVA) picked up two solid wins against No. 14 Charleston (22–4, 5–3). With these two wins, the Tigers are now second in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA), while the Golden Eagles have dropped down to third.

STORRS, Conn. — On a cold, windy evening in the middle of December, Princeton women’s basketball team stepped into Gampel Pavilion, home of the Connecticut Huskies. Despite nearly upsetting the top-ranked Huskies, the Tigers came up short of a win, losing 69–64.

On senior night, women’s volleyball (19–3 overall, 11–1 Ivy League) came out firing, dominating the Yale Bulldogs (19–2, 11–1) in a 3–1 victory. Coming into Saturday night, Yale stood undefeated in Ivy play, having handed Princeton their only Ivy loss earlier in the season.

On Friday, Oct. 28, women’s volleyball (17–3, 9–1 Ivy) completed the season sweep of Harvard (5–13, 4–6 Ivy) with a 3–1 win. With the return of senior outside hitter Elena Montgomery, the Tigers propelled themselves to Homecoming success.
