Following winter break, McCosh Health Center is seeing an increase in student visits according to University Health Services (UHS), most notably for midwinter respiratory illnesses, including the flu, pneumonia, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Additionally, there has been an increase in gastrointestinal illness due to norovirus, often referred to as the “stomach flu,” during the winter months.

Students with medical dietary needs and significant allergies discussed challenges with dining on campus in a Feb. 5 roundtable hosted by the Princeton Food Allergy and Celiac Team for University Advocacy and Living (FACTUAL). The group had a wide-ranging discussion on cross contamination, tagging food items, and the centrality of food and dining to campus culture.

Following a Jan. 25 letter from the free speech group Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Princeton updated the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for No Communication Orders and No Contact Orders (NCOs) a day later on Jan. 26. On Friday, Feb. 2, I waited in the audience for the lights to go up for Triple 8’s 2024 show, “Montage.” Slowly, and then all at once, Frist Theatre came alive with lowlights. The show had begun. The stage quickly flooded with dancers as the first piece began, a high-energy hip-hop number. My interest was piqued in those first minutes, and for a good reason — they opened the show with a force and precision capable of drawing audiences in, yet didn’t allow the audience to grow too comfortable with a single kind of movement.

Continuing their cruise through the Ivy League slate of play, the No. 25 Princeton women’s basketball (17–3 overall, 7–0 Ivy League) team defeated both Yale (5–15, 2–5) and Brown (13–7, 4–3) on Friday and Saturday, respectively, maintaining a one game lead for first place in the Ivy League. Saturday’s game drew in a crowd of 2,710 — the largest since 2013.
