In light of the recent allegations about classics professor Joshua Katz, classics department chair Michael Flower requested Nassau Hall to review the department's environment and culture. Although Flower made no explicit mention of Katz in his request, his message follows The Daily Princetonian's investigation of Katz's inappropriate involvement with three undergraduate women.
On a separate note, the classics department recently created an additional section of Homer (CLG 108) taught by professor Andrew Ford. The course was previously taught by Katz alone.

New Jersey marijuana legalization is official. On Monday, Feb. 22, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed into law three bills that implement the ballot question that had overwhelming support from New Jersey voters. What will this mean for the University and its students? According to section 42 of the bill, marijuana usage will be prohibited within buildings and on the grounds of any “public or private institution of higher education.”
For the town of Princeton, a Cannabis Task Force, led by Councilwoman Eve Niedergang, has already begun addressing policy education and equitable law enforcement as it relates to marijuana usage.

We've all had our share of Zoom surprises. But, picture this: Sir Paul McCartney, co-lead vocalist and bassist for the Beatles, pops into your Zoom room under the name “Test Student.” For thirty-three students in Professor Maul Muldoon's ATL 496 course, entitled “How To Write A Song,” this was a reality. During this memorable 3-hour seminar, McCartney offered thorough feedback on students' work, sharing nostalgic anecdotes about his time with The Beatles along the way.
