Men’s basketball, in the hunt for an Ivy League playoff spot, prepares for tough road ahead

“What’s special about this team is that we don’t show up to games or practice and just be happy to be there,” sophomore guard Matt Allocco told The Daily Princetonian. “Our main goal, of course, is to win the League and not just play in March Madness, but win too.”

Men's basketball dominates wire to wire, crushes league foe Dartmouth 85–40

The win improved the Tigers 7–2 in Ivy league play, keeping them in third place behind Penn (11–12, 8–2) and Yale (14–9, 8–1). The Tigers have five more games, including a second round of matchups against Yale and Penn. Princeton is on pace to remain in the top four in the Ivy League and qualify for Ivy Madness.

Princeton basketball games postponed amid omicron surge

The women’s basketball game scheduled for Dec. 29, 2021 against Central Florida was canceled due to current COVID-19 protocols in place while the men were unable to open their Ivy League season on the road in Cambridge. Cancellations and postponements will likely continue through the season.
