The University will increase graduate student fellowship and stipend rates for the coming 2022–2023 academic year by an average of 25 percent to about $40,000 for doctoral candidates, according to a statement released by the Office of Communications on Jan. 25. The change is the University’s largest ever one-year increase in graduate student stipend rates.

The Princeton Club of New York may soon lose its nine-story Manhattan clubhouse after defaulting on $39.3 million of mortgage debt. The building is set to be sold to the highest bidder. Boasting event spaces, athletic facilities, and two restaurants, among other amenities, the organization has lost roughly one-third of its 6,000 dues-paying members since the start of the pandemic. The Club is open to University alumni, students, faculty, and administrators in addition to individuals affiliated with 15 other educational institutions.

The Starbucks on Nassau Street has drastically decreased its hours due to staffing issues within the store. Its operating hours are now from 6 a.m. to noon on weekdays, and it is closed on weekends. The previous hours were as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 7:30 p.m.
