Living close to New York City, I’ve always considered myself a bagel connoisseur. I’ve tried all the popular spots in the city, from top-rated establishments to small, local businesses around the boroughs. However, I barely ventured off into New Jersey to try bagel shops, as I assumed the best were only found in the city. I was proven wrong when I stepped foot into Princeton gem, Bagel Nook.

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind for the Princeton Tigers men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams as the athletes competed in and earned top places at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships.

The water was not calm this past weekend at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatic Center at Brown University. Throughout the Ivy League championships, Princeton and Harvard battled neck and neck in each event to earn as many points as possible, each with the hope of being crowned Ivy champion.

This weekend, the Tigers secured their 24th Ivy League championship title with multiple wins across the board. The Tigers scored 1480 points, defeating both Harvard and Yale, who had 1254 and 1158.5 points, respectively.

On Jan. 11, Princeton Athletics announced the hiring of Miles Smith Jr. as the University’s new Associate Director of Athletics for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Prior to this position, Smith served as Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Development at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).

This past weekend at DeNunzio Pool, the Princeton men’s and women’s swim and dive teams both placed first out of the six teams that competed at the Big AI Invitational, earning 1,178.50 points and 1,080.50 points, respectively. The Tigers performed incredibly well, with many NCAA cuts and top finishes.
