On Nov. 13, the University released its Spring 2023 Dining Pilot Final Report, with results on the controversial pilot to change upperclass dining. The program provided pilot participants five additional meal swipes per week to use at late meal, any eating club, dining hall, or co-op. The dining pilot was overseen by a working group consisting of students, alumni, and University and eating club administrators. This committee included a more diverse selection of student participants and leaders than those who typically have a voice on University committees. The Daily Princetonian analyzed dining and University affiliation of the working group members as of Spring 2023.

Nonprofit organizations, including Princeton, must fill out the Form 990 – a tax form detailing finances for everything from total investment income to the highest-paid employees. The Daily Princetonian analyzed the University’s public tax records in search of intriguing data. Records include contributions to government organizations, assistance with financing homes for employees, and payroll of big-name professors. Through further comparisons of Princeton's finances to the 990s of peer institutions Harvard and Yale, we explored how Princeton distributes its substantial budget — from the roughly $400,000 spent on lobbying to the over $250 million earmarked for financial aid.

On April 20, 1969, Princeton’s Board of Trustees announced the first phase of the University’s coeducation: women would be allowed to enroll at the University as undergraduates for the first time in the fall. That spring, Princeton began to matriculate 102 female first-year students and 48 female transfer students — though they planned to admit 90 first-years and 40 transfers — for the upcoming academic year. It was a fast turnaround recruitment process, and, according to statements by the admissions staff, focused on a few schools. The Daily Princetonian looked at the geographic distribution of the class to shed light on that extraordinary year in admissions.

While accessibility is at the core of Princeton’s campus mobility principles, not all the buildings constructed over the University’s quarter-millennium history have included the same accessibility features. The Daily Princetonian analyzed the accessibility of all campus buildings, from the oldest — Nassau Hall, which was built in 1756 — to the newest — the buildings that comprise New College West (NCW) and Yeh College, which were constructed in 2022.
