Sachs Scholarship announced: The University has named Alice McGuinness ’24 and Nathalie Verlinde ’24 as the 2024 recipients of the prestigious Sachs Scholarship. McGuinness, a senior in the history department, will utilize the David M. Sachs Class of 1960 Graduating Scholarship to pursue master’s degrees in South Asian studies and forced migration and refugee studies at Worcester College, University of Oxford. Verlinde, a senior in molecular biology, has been awarded the Sachs Global Scholarship to conduct research on Parkinson’s disease at NeuroRestore in Lausanne, Switzerland, combining her interests in research and service to impact the lives of those with neurological disorders.

OPINION | Reactions: Street Week 2024

During this year’s Street Week, 1,193 sophomores participated with a significant portion double-bickering, reflecting ongoing debates over the merits of the bicker process at Princeton. Critiques focused on the impersonal and flawed nature of the automated ICC bicker system, the inherent biases, and emotional stress of the selective bicker process. There are many calls for a more inclusive and thoughtfully managed bicker amid a growing student body. Our columnists argue for revising the bicker system to enhance transparency, fairness, and community spirit, with Cloister’s recent success story underscoring the importance of adaptation and rebranding for the survival and appeal of eating clubs.

The highly anticipated rematch between Princeton and Yale Men’s Basketball will be fought out on Jadwin Gym’s court tomorrow. The Tigers lost their last game against the Yale Bulldogs at home in New Haven. Yale currently sits a the top of the Ivy League rankings with a perfect 7–0 conference record. This game is the linchpin in the Men’s basketball team’s road to the Ivy League regular season title and March Madness. Ahead of the high-stakes tip off, The Daily Princetonian Sports staff offer their picks for the score and winner.

March Madness heroes Ryan Langborg ’23 and Keeshawn Kellman ’23 take on a fifth year: Head Sports Editor Hayk Yengibaryan follows Men’s basketball alums Ryan Langborg ’23 and Keeshawn Kellman ’23 on their post-Princeton playing careers. Both graduate students, Langborg is now a starter shooting guard for the Northwestern Wildcats and Kellman, a starting center for Florida Gulf Coast University. Reminiscent of their historic Princeton March Madness run last year, Kellman and Langborg were pivotal in upsets this past season. In their interviews, Langborg and Kellmen emphasized Princeton culture made their transition to their new institutions “seamless.”
