 ‘This is hate speech’: Students harassed by extremist protestors on campus

EXTREMIST PROTESTORS ON CAMPUS: A group of self-identifying Christian protesters gathered in front of the SPIA Building on Washington Road where they shouted out a series of “sexist, homophobic, antisemitic, Islamophobic, anti-Catholic, and otherwise offensive remarks.” In interviews with the 'Prince,' some students expressed dismay at what they felt was a lack of response from campus Public Safety, while others chose to engage with the protesters and directly express their disapproval.

WINTERSESSION CLASSES: The Office of Campus Engagement (OCE) will be holding its annual Wintersession from Jan. 16–29, with registration for events opening on Dec. 1. A wide range of ungraded courses are being offered with “topics as diverse as knitting, ceramics, and figure drawing.” Several students are already on waitlists for events and OCE is working on facilitating as many students as possible. The Wintersession will be entirely free, including meals and housing, and students may return to campus for Wintersession starting Jan. 13.
