Q&A: Robert Chavez ’77, president and CEO of Hermés of Paris, addressed University community members on Wednesday at an event hosted by Business Today, reflecting on his time at Princeton, his creative process, and his personal style. “Do what you love,” Chavez advised student attendees. “Reading, discovering, learning a language, these are the beginnings, the first stepping stones.”

FRENCH AND FRANCOPHONE SOCIETY: Following a hiatus since 2015, the Princeton French and Francophone Society (FFS) has been revived by graduate students Yassine Ait Ali and Sophie Chopin, Ph.D. candidates in the French department. The club has “the aim of promoting French and Francophone languages and cultures among all the students” and currently lists more than 150 members. Ali and Chopin sat down with The Daily Princetonian to discuss the club’s revival.

THE HISTORY OF A CAMPUS CENTER AND THE IMPORTANCE OF RENOVATIONS AT PRINCETON: Guest columnist John Raulston Graham discusses the ongoing construction projects in and around campus. Sursick argues that “Princeton is the only remaining Ivy League institution that does not accept the Duolingo English Test (DET) as part of its application process for international students,” and discusses how testing alternatives pose both a financial and logistical difficulty for many international students.
