USG Reform Project proposes change to referendum process; CPUC convenes first meeting of the fall

Todays Briefing: 

WEEKLY USG MEETING: The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) meeting on Sunday, Sept. 18 involved a potential change to the referendum process, as well as a vote to change USG’s committee structure. The proposed change was not voted on at the Sunday meeting but would give members of the USG more power to decide on what questions will appear on the ballot. The Senate also reviewed the upcoming semester’s proposed budget, and heard an update on the Mental Health Resources working group.

FIRST CPUC MEETING OF THE FALL: On Sept. 19, the Council of the Princeton University Community (CPUC) convened for its first meeting of the fall semester. During the meeting, University officials provided construction updates and addressed concerns about disruptions to campus life caused by current construction projects. Additionally, both Undergraduate Student Government (USG) representatives and administrators discussed the findings of a mental health resources report created over the summer.
