OPINION | Ramadan reflections: How Princeton can support its Muslim student population

Columnist Ndeye Thioubou encourages the University to expand its measures of support for the Muslim student population during the holy month of Ramadan, as current initiatives can prove insufficient and limited in scope. Citing the lack of eclectic halal options and the absence of designated spaces on campus for the Muslim community to practice its faith, Thioubou highlights concrete, simple ways the University can improve the collective Ramadan experience for all Muslim students.

“Given how the Muslim community has expanded throughout the past few years, and Ramadan will be a time the University has to navigate consistently in the future, there needs to be stronger leadership and collaboration with Muslim students to provide an optimal fasting experience on campus,” writes Thioubou.
