DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE PANEL: On Tuesday, March 22, the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) hosted a panel titled “Harassment, Discrimination, and Abuse of Power: Protecting Civil Rights from Police Misconduct” as part of Princeton’s Leadership Through Mentorship program. The panel included Cynthia Coe, Maureen Johnston, and Megan Marks of the Special Litigation Section, part of the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice. They discussed discriminatory policing and reform efforts, including a Comprehensive Amnesty Program with the city of Ferguson, Mo.
