Pedestrian safety concerns in light of accidents; USG meeting over referenda

PEDESTRIAN SAFETY CONCERNS: In the last two months, at least one undergraduate student, two graduate students, and one staff member have been struck by cars on and around campus. Pedestrian safety was brought up at this month’s Council of the Princeton Community meeting. The victims recounted their experiences to the ‘Prince.’

USG: The weekly USG meeting included discussion of two referenda to be voted on in the upcoming election, Vote100, and The Daily Princetonian’s recent investigation into the University’s Honor Code. The first referendum proposes universal midterm grade reporting on TigerHub, creation of a TigerHub commenting/feedback system, and discouragement of “N” designation. The second referendum encourages professors to include mental health resources in their syllabi. The Senate unanimously determined both referenda to be within the bounds of USG’s jurisdiction.
