Todays Briefing:

In June 2021, Andrew Bruck ’05 was named acting attorney general of New Jersey, becoming the first LGBTQ+ individual to serve in the position. During his time at Princeton, Bruck studied at the School of Public and International Affairs and produced his senior thesis under the supervision of now President Christopher L. Eisgruber ’83. Prior to his appointment as the state attorney general, Bruck served in various positions within the New Jersey Attorney General’s office and the U.S. Department of Justice, including a memorable experience working for then-Deputy U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates at the end of the Obama administration.

“I certainly never thought that if I came out that I would be able to have a job in government, and all of that is possible,” said Bruck in an interview with the ‘Prince.’ “I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do this, and I hope that is a signal to others that if I can do it, others can as well.”
