Today’s Briefing:
Twelve undergraduate students were selected for the Scholars in the Nation's Service Initiative (SINSI), a University program that funds internships and fellowships in the U.S. government. Eight students — Courtney Cappelli ’22, Preeti Chemiti ’23, Alejandro Garcia ’22, Carson Maconga ’22, Ashley Morales ’22, Mikala Parnell ’23, Isra Thange ’22, and Emma Treadway ’22 — were selected for undergraduate summer internships.
Four students — Jack Aiello ’21, Bevin Benson ’21, Krystal Cohen ’21, and Christopher “Chris” Gliwa ’21 — will complete the SINSI graduate fellowship, which includes working in government positions as well as completing a two-year Masters in Public Affairs at the School of Public and International Affairs.

Undergraduate Student Government (USG) met for the final meeting under President Chitra Parikh ’21 and the administration elected in late 2019. During the meeting, referenda positions were finalized to be sent to the USG Senate and Parikh reviewed her administration’s work in her final President’s report.

In a Letter From the Editor, Editor-in-Chief Emma Treadway highlights the persistence of Princeton students despite COVID-19 restrictions, including the staff of The Daily Princetonian. Treadway reaffirms the The Daily Princetonian’s digital presence in the University community and speaks to the restrictions of the upcoming semester. She writes, “Just because we cannot return to our old campus habits of Street parties or group hangouts long into the night, we must not see ourselves as restricted. Staying physically distant is not about limitations of freedom; it is about security of those freedoms.”
