Man of The Times: Raymond W. Apple, Jr. '57, a former chairman of The Daily Princetonian and noted reporter for The New York Times, died yesterday in Washington. Apple is remembered for his forceful personality and piercing intellect. He wrote on war, politics, food and travel.
