Manoj Bhargava, the founder of 5-hour ENERGY and a University dropout, was named to Forbes Magazine’s list of the world’s wealthiest people for the first time on Wednesday.
Bhargava’s wealth is valued at about $1.3 billion, placing him at 960th on Forbes’s list of the 1,226 wealthiest people on the planet. According to a profile written on him that appeared in Forbes in February, Bhargava speculates that he is probably the wealthiest Indian living in the United States.

The University has reinstated Saturday meals at both Forbes and Whitman colleges, a year after it implemented a cost-saving initiative that left only one of the two dining halls open on Saturdays.
“A number of the cost-reduction initiatives exceeded our projections,” Director of Dining Services Stu Orefice said in an e-mail, citing “the tray-free dining program and modifications to our purchasing program.”
