Making its second-ever NCAA championship appearance for the second consecutive year, the sixth-seeded women's water polo team went 2-1 at the national championships this past weekend in Boston to finish fifth out of eight teams playing in the tournament. After falling short to third-seeded UCLA in the opening round, the Tigers (28-6 overall, 5-0 CWPA) bounced back over the next two days to beat Iona and University of California, San Diego.

After its second consecutive Eastern Championships title two weeks ago, the women’s water polo team will make its second consecutive and second-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament this weekend. The sixth-seeded Tigers (26-5 overall, 5-0 CWPA Southern) will face third-seeded UCLA in their attempt to give Princeton’s up-and-coming program its first ever trip to the semifinals.

| April 28, 2013For the second consecutive year, the No. 11 women's water polo team won the CWPA Eastern Championship, defeating the hosts No. 18 Michigan 7-5 in the title game. With the win, the Tigers (26-5 overall, 5-0 CWPA Southern) will make a return trip to the NCAA tournament after making their first-ever appearance last year. -
The woman’s water polo team is gearing up to head to Ann Arbor, Mich. for the Eastern Championship for what is surely its biggest weekend of the season. Princeton (23-5 overall, 5-0 CWPA Southern) has had a great season so far and is currently ranked as the 12th best team in the nation. The Tigers will look to build on their success this weekend, trying to repeat their tournament win from last season and return to the NCAA Championships for only the second time ever.

A former member of the USA Water Polo Junior National Development Team and gold-medal winner at the U.S. Junior Olympics in 2008, freshman Kimi Klein now plays for the Princeton women’s water polo team. She sat down with the ‘Prince’ to discuss bopping around, “Friday Night Lights” and “Partying in the U.S.A.”
