    The men's lacrosse team will have a chance to win an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament Sunday, as an overtime goal by sophomore midfielder Kip Orban against No. 2 Cornell last night put the No. 15 Tigers in the Ivy League championship game.

    The losers of a game rarely get the opportunity to exact revenge after just a week’s hiatus. The No. 15 men’s lacrosse team, however, will get that chance in the first round of the Ivy League tournament Friday at 8 p.m in Ithaca. The Tigers (8-5 Overall, 3-3 Ivy League) will look to add to their 38-35-1 all-time advantage over No. 2 Cornell — Princeton is the only Ivy League team to possess a winning record against the Big Red (12-2, 6-0).

    The men’s lacrosse regular season has come and gone, and four teams will be participating in this year’s Ivy League tournament to fight for the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The teams will also be looking to simply impress in general, as they will also be playing for the eight available at-large bids to the NCAA tournament. Below we take a look at each team that will be participating in the tournament, in order of their seeding:

  • Men's Lacrosse: Tigers fall to Big Red at MetLife Stadium - Sports

    The No. 12 men’s lacrosse team suffered its biggest loss of the year, losing 17-11 to No. 4 Cornell in its final game of the regular season. The game drops the Tigers to 8-5 on the season and 3-3 in the Ivy League, giving them the fourth and final seed in the Ivy League tournament that will take place this weekend. The Tigers will now have to face the Big Red again in the first round of the tournament, this time in Ithaca, N.Y.
