Steve Runk has been appointed director of communications of the Lewis Center for the Arts, according to an announcement on Sunday by acting chair of the Lewis Center Michael Cadden.

This fall marks the early stages of the spring 2011 policy change in the Program in Creative Writing, with enrollment in poetry, translation and screenwriting workshops no longer requiring applications for courses at the 201 level and below. But as the add/drop window closed only recently, it is still too early to fully assess many of the effects of the removal of the application process, according to program director Susan Wheeler.

The University’s “In the Mix: Asian Pop Music” conference brought together 32 speakers from eight different countries alongside performers, music industry professionals and students from around the world on March 25 and 26.

While the fate of the Arts and Transit Neighborhood hangs in the balance as University and local officials continue negotiations over zoning and the proposed relocation of the Dinky, Lewis Center for the Arts students and faculty say they are still hoping for the construction of the new facilities.

Creative writing professor and novelist Colm Toibin will leave Princeton for the University of Manchester after this semester.
