On March 22, All-Ivy senior linebacker Liam Johnson announced his decision to commit to the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) following his decision to enter the transfer portal on Feb. 1. Johnson, the 2022 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, will use his fifth year of eligibility to join the Golden Bears squad.

After a legendary career on the gridiron for Princeton football, unanimous First Team All-Ivy League linebacker Ozzie Nicholas ’24 committed last week to play his final year of college eligibility at Duke University as a graduate transfer. Nicholas tallied 104 total tackles in the 2023 season, making him the first Tiger to break triple digit tackles since Jon Olofsson ’11 in 2010.

The first-year from Cary, N.C. stepped up to kick a 47-yard field goal with 1:28 remaining to give Dartmouth (4–4 overall, 3–2 Ivy League) a win over Princeton (4–4, 3–2). Zalc is now 4-for-4 on 47-yard field goals this season, but none were as big as Friday night’s.
