The University introduced a new service on Jan. 23 that allows students to record the correct pronunciation of their names, as well as indicate phonetic spelling. Students can access the service, known as NameCoach, on TigerHub.

Earlier this week, the Trump administration announced a new executive order permanently banning citizens of seven countries — Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad, and North Korea — from entering the United States. The Sept. 24 ban includes stricter entry regulations for citizens of Iraq and certain government officials from Venezuela.

The University announced extended hours to campus buildings on Sept. 12. The new policy, which was implemented on the first day of classes, Sept. 13, allows students, faculty, and staff members to enter academic buildings from 7 a.m. to midnight during the week and from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekends.

With climate change becoming a more urgent issue, advocates on both sides of the aisle have begun to push President Donald Trump’s administration to address the topic. In a talk on Wednesday, James Baker ’52, who served as United State Secretary of State under former President George H.W.
