Andrew T. Miltenberg, an attorney who has represented college students and faculty facing allegations of sexual misconduct, will file a lawsuit next week on behalf of former University professor Sergio Verdú, according to The New York Times. It is unclear if the suit will be filed directly against the University.

My MacBook and I have a very exclusive relationship and see a lot of each other. As a 21-year-old college student at an Ivy League university, I am hardly ever without my laptop. When not writing notes by hand in class, reading a physical book, out with friends, eating, or sleeping, my MacBook is within arm’s reach, usually open. My life revolves around a glowing metal box. Yasmin Ahmed Abdillahi ’20, known for her compassion for others and for her strong Muslim faith, died last Friday after being struck by a train in Euless, Texas. She was 20 years old. According to friends and family she had been playing with cousins and accidentally encountered the moving train. Her funeral took place on Sunday, June 10, in Dallas. Her death is still under investigation, and as of Friday, June 15, the Fort Worth Police Department was unable to provide additional information to The Daily Princetonian.

On May 1, University of Illinois history professor Mark Steinberg stressed in the final lecture in a centennial series that although revolutions are never perfect, the effort behind them is what matters. Through historical documents, artwork, and inspiration from philosopher Walter Benjamin, Steinberg gave the audience a unique view of the proletariat imagination behind the 1917 revolution.

A former Terrace Club employee made threats against the club, causing it to shut down starting at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6. Former employee Darnell Pygum entered Terrace at 11 a.m., according to an email released by Public Safety, and made threatening comments to the club manager, according to an email distributed by Elizabeth Yu ’19, the club president.

On Tuesday, the Interclub Council released a “welcome letter” reminding new and old eating club members of their responsibilities. Signed by all the eating club presidents and ICC Chair and Colonial Club president emeritus Matthew Lucas ‘18, the letter focused on issues of safety, community, and tolerance, both in and out of the clubs. According to Lucas, this is the first time in at least six years that the ICC has released such a letter.
