In the first year of the University’s expanded aid policy, which covers all tuition and fees for most families making up to $100,000 annually, the University has also seen an increase in another statistic: delays. Over 200 undergraduates’ financial aid awards were delayed this academic year, with some awards still outstanding four weeks into the semester.

Princeton University consulting clubs do not charge fees for their services or engage in profit sharing, even though the University allows clubs to accept payment in an organizational bank account as compensation. The issue came to attention recently, as the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business became one of the first universities to ban student-run consulting clubs from charging fees.

Twenty-three candidates have filed to run for the 2027 Class Council, the elected student officials that plan class-wide social events and distribute merchandise. The Class Council is separate from the USG Senate, which deliberates on issues of student life and University policy.

From catering to textbooks to providing off-campus dining options, businesses on Nassau Street are an essential part of the Princeton student experience. Ongoing construction on the Graduate Hotel, located at 20 Nassau Street, has indefinitely displaced five Princeton businesses, including Jammin’ Crepes, Milk & Cookies, Nassau Barbers, Small Bites by Local Greek, and Sakrid Coffee Roasters. The last two have yet to reopen in their original locations.

Since the start of the semester, rumors have swirled among students that COVID-19 cases are on the rise. However, an email from Derek Ziegler, the assistant director for emergency preparedness, noted that “case numbers have actually declined in each of the last three weeks from a peak in late August” — when the Class of 2027 first arrived on campus.

After years of advocacy, faculty and students involved with Native American and Indigenous student groups on campus say the timeline for an Indigenous Studies minor program remains uncertain. Although the University announced that it would establish an endowed professorship of Indigenous Studies in 2020, the position has yet to be filled.

Following the departure of longtime wrestling head coach Chris Ayres, it was announced Tuesday evening that associate head coach Joe Dubuque would be taking over the vacant role. Dubuque, a two-time national champion wrestler from Indiana University and former New Jersey state champion, will be the 11th head coach in program history.
