Admissions Opportunity Campaign Teach-In

Admissions Opportunity Campaign Teach-In

The Admissions Opportunity Campaign (AOC) Teach-In was held on May 7th to speak out against Princeton's policy of asking prospective undergraduates about former involvement with the penal system during the admissions process. President Eisgruber, who is against banning the box, joined students to speak publicly about his views and to answer questions from students. This event was co-sponsored by Students for Prison Education and Reform, and 13 other Princeton student groups, who believe that Princeton's current policy actively supports a system that perpetuates racial and socioeconomic oppression, and consequently the decimation of communities, families, and individual lives. Princeton ROTC's Spring Training Exercises

This weekend, cadets from Princeton's Tiger Battalion joined cadets from Rutgers Battalion and Seton Hall Battalion to conduct ROTC's annual spring training exercises known as JFTX. The four-day event took place at Ft. Dix, NJ. Cadets completed various technical, physical, mental, and leadership challenges including an elaborate training exercise which required them to infiltrate a hypothetical hostile area in order to support a friendly local government against rebel forces. The infiltration exercise itself was broken up into smaller missions that ranged from raids to ambushes to key leader engagements. Cadets used real weapons firing blanks and carried full ruck sacks to mirror field conditions. Photography by Karen Ku, Senior Photographer

Princeton from Another Perspective

Princeton from Another Perspective

By: Grace Jeon and Lisa Gong, Staff Photographers. Both spent time behind the scenes in the Forbes Dining Hall documenting both the process of preparing food and the personalities who make it all work. They were able to witness both everyday activities in the kitchen as well as the staff’s preparations for the annual end of the year barbeque dinner on the Forbes terrace. They tried to capture snapshots of a life that is not immediately obvious to the average Princetonian but that nevertheless helps to keep the University running day in and day out.
