A Princeton resident was hospitalized after crashing into a tree along Mercer Street on Wednesday, according to Planet Princeton.
Abbie Farrow, 56, was traveling north on Mercer Street when she skidded off the road and struck a large tree.
She had to be extricated from her vehicle.
She suffered injuries in the upper and lower extremities and was transported to the University Medical Center at Plainsboro.
The accident took place at approximately 1 p.m. and Mercer Street was closed until 2:15 p.m.
Farrow’s injuries were non-life threatening, but her vehicle, a 1997 Ford Expedition, experienced major front-end damages and had to be towed away.
The accident is currently undergoing investigation, but officials noted that the slick, snow-covered road conditions contributed to the accident.
