News & Notes: Janet Ready named president of UMCPP

Janet Ready began her role as president of the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro on Oct. 27 and also became senior vice president of the hospital’s parent company, Princeton HealthCare System, according to Planet Princeton.

Ready is an executive and a registered nurse with a nursing degree and two master’s degrees from Columbia University.

She previously served as president of Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and as vice president for administration at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Peekskill, N.Y.

Altogether, Ready has over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration.

Ready was selected after a nationwide search was conducted, said Barry S. Rabner, the CEO and President of Princeton HealthCare System.

Ready’s responsibilities include collaborating with other senior management at the hospital and medical staff to develop new services at the hospital and promote treatment quality and patient satisfaction.
