Breaking: Men's hockey coach Bob Prier resigns after three seasons

According to a Princeton Athletics Communications announcement, men’s ice hockey head coach Bob Prier has resigned following a 2013-14 campaign that saw his team go 6-26 overall. This record was good for last place in the 12-team Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Prier’s record through three seasons was 25-58-12, including a postseason mark of 2-6. His tenure is the program's shortest since that of John Wilson, who stepped aside in 1967 after two seasons at Baker Rink.

Newly appointed athletic director Mollie Marcoux ’91 will face an early challenge in conducting a nationwide search for Prier’s successor.
