All schools in Plainsboro and West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South were put on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after West Windsor police lost sight of a man and a woman carrying hunting rifles.

The individuals had last been seen near the Millstone Pond in West Windsor and were believed to be duck hunters. The schools were put on lockdown as a precautionary measure at 1:46 p.m. but later dismissed at 3:18 p.m., according to New Jersey 101.5 Radio.

Princeton Borough Police Captain Nicholas Sutter said there was no lockdown in the Princeton area but his department was in communication with the Plainsboro and West Windsor Police Departments at all times.
