Holy fuck, 4 torn ACLs this season? They had a similar number last year, I seem to remember (at least Nabatoff, Blosser, Watson, and potentially more). I know that torn ACL's are a plague of women's sports, and especially soccer, but this is absurd. Is this sustained, high level of ACL injuries common in collegiate women's soccer (I think not), and if not, what is the program doing wrong that allows for this to happen? Are they missing some key strength/stretch/technique that reduces ACL injuries? It is time for our coaching and strength staff and athletic trainers to look into this as being more than bad luck. Wow - to have performed that well this year with all the injuries mentioned in the article, plus a few more, makes this team's record and performance all the more remarkable! 12 straight wins, including a 7 game unbeaten Ivy record, is sensational, to say nothing about knocking off a highly ranked team (West Va) on the latter's field in the NCAA's - a team which had earlier defeated the top-ranked team in the country! It's no wonder that as many as 8 members of our team gained All-Ivy recognition. Our graduating 8 seniors deserve kudos for their outstanding career long contributions. Although we'll surely miss them next year, it's comforting to know that so many other outstanding players will be returning - hopefully fully recuperated! Congrats again to the Women's Soccer Team and its outstanding coaching staff on the team's incredibly successful season.
