    I'm sorry, but I really don't understand the paper's obsession here. Of all the possible people in the world might be candidates for Princeton's presidency, the paper runs ~10 articles on this guy? Regardless of how much of a scumbag this incident may or may not make him appear (which the experts quoted here seem to be debating), at the very least it was a huge case of poor judgement. Not really what I want in my university president.
    Can we please have some articles about people other than Petraeus if you want to speculate about Princeton presidential candidates? I'm sure you can find some other famous people with ties to this university. Or how about an academic or two? Someone who doesn't get as much press but has a decent chance of leading this academic institution. Now that'd be some useful reporting!

    The General is damaged goods. Forget about him as a potential candidate for the Princeton presidency.

    It is common knowledge that Anne-Marie Slaughter has the inside track to the Presidency. She is not a former professor but a former Wilson School Dean who is still a professor. That she is an alum only helps her case.
