A 55-year-old contractor broke his ankle while setting up for Reunions on Wednesday, falling 20 feet along the roof of Fisher Hall of Whitman College. The worker, whose name is not being released, had been working with an electrical cable for the sound system for a Reunions event and landed on a lower portion of the roof.

The Department of Public Safety, the Princeton Fire Department, the Borough Police and the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the incident.

Borough Police Captain Nicholas Sutter said that after the incident at 4:24 p.m., the Borough Police responded “within two minutes.” At 5:20 p.m., the contractor was lowered via a lift truck, according to University spokesperson Martin Mbugua, and was eventually transported by ambulance to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.
