    pleaseeeeee

    Can the Prince do some real journalism and find out why so many coaches have left recently? Is it Shirley? Or Gary Walters? Or something else altogether?

    My list of recent coaches leaving (last 2-3 years): softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, basketball, football, men's hockey. I may be missing some.

    I second the call for some investigation. You seem too worried about stepping on toes and getting someone mad, but the number of coaches leaving is crazy. Ask the hard questions - grant sources anonymity if necessary, it's better than just saying what's on GoPrincetonTigers. You're an independent newspaper, act like it! Stop spouting the party line and stand up to question it.

    I haven't followed the team very closely since I left New Jersey, but the last two paragraphs make Salcido sound like softball's Joe Scott. Except that she actually won with Mo's left over roster.

    not seeing it

    softball, men's tennis, women's tennis, basketball, football, men's hockey.

    The hockey coach left to build up Penn State, so that's a step up in programs. The football coach was fired. The basketball coach leaving was rather baffling, but Fairfield does actually have a higher budget. The women's tennis coach is from Florida originally, and her husband found a job there. Based on the softball coach's record, it sounds like she was on her way to getting fired. No idea about the men's tennis coach.

    For the most part, these moves aren't that surprising. The only really surprising move was Johnson leaving, and seems to be due to the athletic budget.

    @Champs-to-chumps
    Who ever said she won with Mo's left over roster was correct. I was one of those "left overs". The team was in constant upheaval, in-fighting, etc. I can guarantee you after exit interviews with senior players, the Athletic Director knew the situation. He either chose not to believe or was not told the truth.

    I'm surprised it took Trina this long to leave. Even Stevie Wonder could see the team has in a downward spiral since 2008/2009. I wish Trina well in her future endeavors.

    I've heard from a fellow softball classmate that a lot of the team avidly despised the coach and how she ran things. So yeah, surprising she stayed this long. That should be the angle of the story. If the Prince really does what they call 'journalism' instead of reportage.

    Hey Princeton! When are we going to hear some rumors about a NEW coach?
    The team needs to know what is going on!

    Yikes!

    Well, I guess you know now. You may have the youngest, most inexperienced D1 coach in history coming in to lead the team.

    All the assistants are now gone.

    Was the old group that bad?
