We are honored to have the nine letters PRINCETON posted on our November 14 calendar. The first game ever played in Cameron (then Duke) Stadium was between Princeton and Duke in about 1940. Duke won by about 10 points in a low scoring game. It is said that Duke Indoor Stadium was based on the design of the Palestra at that time.
Princeton always plays well against Duke. I expect a good game this fall. Hard play and great sportsmanship.
Thanks for coming to Duke.
Thanks for your classy comment, Karluck. We Tiger fans only wish that Duke would honor us even further by one day agreeing to play Princeton in Jadwin Gym. Look forward to our game in Cameron. Congrats on last year's National Championship! Glenn Adams '63
if they really want to invigorate the program they should hold a game or two in dillon. i don't know if this is possible, but that place would be nuts. i've heard tell of what the atmosphere used to be like in dillon for bball games and i think it'd be a cool new tradition. let's treat penn or harvard to game in dillon!
