When I was a sophomore, the admission office asked me to be on a four-student panel (one student from each class) to answer accepted questions from students and their parents during one sunny prefrosh weekend. The only question I remember ...(back to the article)

so cute
the cutest...I remember that panel!
I loved this! It makes me sad when I see people complaining about Princeton on PFML and the like because we are truly lucky to go to school and live in such an amazing place. I hope I can maintain this optimism for the next three years.
I hate to be a buzzkill, but the people who say they hate Princeton are the people who don't get to experience this kind of stuff. They're the people who bit off more than they can chew, and spend all their time in a library or cramming for a test or trying to get some extracurricular work in under the deadline. As one of these people, I sincerely do enjoy when I get to spend time like you've said here at Princeton and meet people and just enjoy life here. Unfortunately, some of us don't seem to get more than a half hour of that kind of time every week.
It's all our own fault for thinking we could still do everything when we very obviously can't, but I don't know if anybody except one who truly loved his work could be anything but disappointed in a college experience in which they spend 12 hours a day in various libraries, especially when all that effort doesn't even necessarily translate to any degree of success here.
And that number of hours is not an exaggeration.
Aran Clair ftw.
What a great article!
Aran, this was a great article to read before my last week at Princeton. We had so much fun in Mathey together! Memories I will cherish forever...
on behalf of those who never belonged at Princeton, because Princeton never permitted them to belong, as well as those who saw and tried to reveal to the wider world the true nature of the striped beast and were condemned and punished for it, SCREW YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL INSTITUTION.
"Striped Beast"! You kids kill me! Enjoy the moment while you can, you have no idea what is waiting for you on the other side. I agree with Aran, Princeton is a beautiful place and you should make the most of whatever opportunities you have to revel in it. Hopefully, the degree you earn will allow you to choose a professional existence that makes the effort you are exerting now justifiable for you. Good Luck and congratulations to the class of '10.
@Over 40: this "kid" will be 50 in about a week. dont patronize.
