    i don't really get it. Is the guy dead or drunk in the second panel?

    As someone who is currently in extensive grief counseling, I find this cartoon incredibly insensitive. Loss and heartbreak should not be reduced to a tacky stick figure cartoon. It should not even be a subject in the Prince cartoon section. Extremely disappointing. Why was this published??

    I'm sorry for your loss. As someone who draws from life, I can assure you that this is not something flippant for me. Reframing this particular event as a cartoon is something that helps me to understand and hopefully convey something true. I hope you can do more than just pick up the pieces.
