Former University provost and current Penn president Amy Gutmann was appointed chair of President Obama’s new Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues on Nov. 24.

A choice consistent with our Chief Executive. All theory, little substance.
Yes, that's right...when our country faces record-breaking deficits and projections that put us in the red for at least a decade, the President should keep programs like the Bioethics Commission going...a reimbursed airfare, hotel, expensive meals for a bunch of snobbish elites. It's useless programs like this one that should get the cut until our country can once again afford to pay for glorified symposia.
