why is the headline of this article about LGBT students despite the fact that two of those interviewed (all of whom are LGBT) explicitly said that it is not just an LGBT issue? Was there any attempt to interview non-LGBT people to see what they think? This article is very one-sided and clearly the author had an idea of what it would say before it was even written.
umm, read the title. obviously this particular article was meant to get the lgbt opinion the issue.
Of course it's a LGBT issue - they are the ones who pushed hardest and cheered loudest. Claiming that it nebulously "benefits others" is a false way to build an imaginary coalition.
They also didn't attempt to get the opinions of LGBT students that might not agree that this is a positive change.
Really? I'm pretty sure the members of the ULC who wrote the proposal are straight, and I've talked to a lot of straight folks who have ben thrilled with the decision.
they prolly wrote it with gay ppl in mind.
What happened to the Anscombe Society's proposal to have an Abstinence and Chastity Center? Why shouldn't students who want to live lives of sexual integrity, in accordance with their traditional values, have housing options for them? Why isn't there any place on Princeton's campus where students can be sure they won't be sexiled by their roommates?
Are gender-neutral bathrooms and locker rooms next? This is a silly idea.
