Administration announces coed housing option

The University will offer a gender-neutral housing option for upperclass undergraduates for the first time during the 2010-11 academic year, Vice President for Campus Life Janet Dickerson confirmed in an e-mail to The Daily Princetonian on Wednesday.

wtf. why do people have to spoil princeton? lgbt should really concentrate on better stuff than trying to ruin some of the old school manners that are still preserved in princeton. we're not brown, and we're not wesleyan. we're princetonians.

Ummm ... how is this just an lgbt thing? Two gay guys can already room together if they want. This is about guys and girls being able to room together.
Well, since President Tilghman's goal has recently seemed to be encouraging a sexually-active student body and encouraging a "free sex" culture, this should come as no surprise to students.

Hope you've been enjoying your first few weeks here. One of the best things you may have noticed so far about the Princeton community is that we not only accomodate, but welcome people of all backgrounds, not just those most like our own. If you don't like gender-neutral housing, you don't have to live there.

All the more reason to enact this policy here, and prove it's not just hippies who can be open-minded.
Sounds good to me. People over 18 are adults and should be able to live with whomever they choose. They just shouldn't be able to drink any alcohol with those same persons - ha!
