I believe the aritcle referred to appeared in Life Magazine, not Time. The Prince reported this in a 2008 article: http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/2008/12/11/22401/
June's an accomplished, lovely classmate in every way! Maybe she is a perfect prototype of the first class of women in 1973 who were by and large an awesome collection of women. It was especially difficult for June on campus because of all the Miss Bikini hooplah. For many of us, knowing only those two pieces of information, she was intimidating. Everyone on campus knew exactly who she was from week one. Why bother to embarrass her or humiliate yourself by introducing yourself about summed things up for me and many others. Leave the woman alone, out of personal respect was also appropriate. I remember seeing June and her friend/roommate Lisa Derota walking to class between Pyne Hall and English class at McCosh. I think they felt isolated in their first years at Princeton, as many of our female classmates felt. And of course there were many benefits, as June also attests. I 'know' June via the P'73 Tigernet group. It is too bad it had to take twenty-something years to finally 'meet' her, as has meeting many others long after our years on campus. I will be curious to read about the other four classmates and their reflections 40(!) years after.
