Eliot Kalmbach ’09 dies in fall

Eliot Ramsay Kalmbach ’09, known for his intelligence, love of the outdoors and knowledge of foreign languages, died Tuesday afternoon after falling 300 feet while hiking Teewinot Mountain at Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming.

    by the way, while this is up, let's get a discussion--this kid has finished his thesis... I bet he's got more than enough credits already completed... Princeton, do the right thing and honor his family with his diploma.

    Harvey, I am in total agreement with you. Eliot was one of the most brilliant people I met while at Princeton, and doubtlessly, his thesis reflects as much. Hopefully, the administration makes us proud...

    I agree with what's already been said by harvey and okhah - he definitely deserves to get the diploma.

    eliot was one of the coolest guys i met at princeton, and he'll be missed by the many people who knew and loved him.

    Eliot was a model student in a my eyes. He was brilliant (in the truest sense of the word) and adventurous, and a generous, kind classmate. Hands down, he deserves that diploma; in fact, he deserves so, so much more. It is, frankly, the least that could be done.

    Eliot was brilliant, adventurous, and kind... I wish I could approach half the things in life with half as much enthusiasm as Eliot... He will be so painfully missed.

    Eliot was an amazing guy. He will be missed by soooo many. He absolutely deserves that diploma.
