Walking into Shirley Tilghman’s office is almost nothing like going to meet with a professor. Visitors enter through the main door of One Nassau Hall, take a seat in her reception area and wait their turn to be escorted ...(back to the article)

A fairly good article for every once in a while. I do hope that Tilghman and the administration plan to at least make Wilson college a bit more acceptable (aside from just the dining hall) before this distant 7th residential college comes to fruition.
Shirley is the leader of a tyrannical administration. Its a shame to see "student leaders" kiss up to her like that instead of challenge her. Bring back Weinstein!
President Tilghman has done a phenomenal job and has been a wonderful part of the University. Thanks for all you've done!
Very pleased to see that Princeton will be free of her by 2013.
There is so much wrong with 10's comment. Bring back Weinstein because he challenged the admin?!
And to 12, Wilson college is entirely acceptable when compared to the Forbes addition which is by far the worst place to live on campus, and in the most desperate need of upgrade, but never gets it because no campus visitors ever see it.
@ Love Shirley T. You've obviously not been stuck in the Old New Quad I see. There is a difference between having one building with a minority of students in a college and having most of one college be in a bad state. Why not do both?
Additionally, Wilson lacks a lot of facilities that are easily accessible from the annex.
i <3 shirley t. so bad. i want to be shirley t.
Connor is the admin's lap dog. What else do you get when Dean Dunne calls Joey Cheek and tells him not to run for USG president, creating a no-contest election? These people have the USG in their back pocket, and that's why the organization rarely advocates for students on issues they actually care about.
Tilghman's most significant achievements have been:
(1) pushing the anachronistic Freddie Hargadon out the door along with his devotion to seeking what he called "the Princeton Type" - avoiding the most academically talented candidates also applying to Harvard, Yale and Stanford, and
(2) dropping the exclusivist early decision decision program in order to create a level playing field for applicants. Sure, the yiekd rate went down … but only because Princeton is no longer passing on the strongest applicants.
The poll numbers don't do justice to students' distaste for Shirley's administration:
